Let’s Connect

Bar Star Cattle is owned and operated by Chad and Stephanie Murnin. They are located an hour north east of Billings, MT in the stunning landscape of the Bull Mountains. Nestled in the sandstone hills, trees and grassy meadows their Hereford and black commercial cattle roam on 23,000 plus acres. Chad and Stephanie both grew up raising cattle and have combined their knowledge and passion to build a progressive Hereford operation and commercial cattle operation.

Their breeding program is dedicated towards functionality and improving traits that drive profit for their customers. Supplying seedstock genetics to produce cattle that are desired in the supply chain is their goal as the end product is always kept in mind.

Bar Star Cattle strives to breed, raise and sell superior genetics. Offering bulls, commercial bred females, registered Hereford females of all ages as well as semen and embryos at various sales throughout the year. Business is conducted all across the United States as well as Canada, Mexico, Uruguay, Argentina, New Zealand and Australia. Future plans are to expand markets into more international countries. Please contact Chad or Stephanie to discuss cattle any time!

We love visitors at the ranch! Feel free to stop in and stay for a tour, meal and good times!
